Terms of Use

Last updated: July 2026 (draft).

Lenny is provided by Lenny's Limited (company no. [•]) — "Lenny", "we", "us". The platform is built and operated on our behalf by our technology partner, Candid Hospitality. These terms govern use of the Lenny website and service at hellolenny.co.uk. By using Lenny you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

1. Who can use Lenny

  • Young people aged 14 to 17. A parent or guardian must give consent before a young person's profile is active or shared.
  • If you are 18 or over, Lenny isn't for you — please use Candid Hospitality instead.
  • Hospitality businesses, through an authorised representative, subject to our approval.

2. What Lenny is (and isn't)

  • Lenny is an introduction and matching service. We help suitable young people and approved businesses find each other for safe, supervised first shifts.
  • We are not the employer, and we are not an employment agency or business placing workers. Any work arrangement is directly between the young person (with their parent or guardian) and the business.
  • We do not guarantee any match, interview, shift or outcome.

3. Parental consent and young people

  • A young person's profile is only shared, and contact details only disclosed to an approved business, after a parent or guardian has given consent.
  • Consent can be withdrawn at any time with immediate effect, which removes the young person from matching.
  • Young people and parents must give accurate information, including date of birth.

4. Responsibilities of businesses

  • Provide accurate business and safeguarding information, and only apply if you can offer safe, supervised, age-appropriate work that complies with the law.
  • Comply with all laws on employing children and young workers, including local authority child employment permits where required, permitted hours and prohibited work, and health and safety.
  • Use candidate information only to consider and arrange a potential role, keep it confidential, and delete it when no longer needed.
  • Do not attempt to identify, contact or approach a young person except through the details Lenny provides after a valid disclosure.
  • Approval can be refused, suspended or withdrawn at our discretion, including on safeguarding grounds.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Lenny. In particular you must not:

  • provide false information or impersonate anyone;
  • use the service for any unlawful, harmful or exploitative purpose;
  • attempt to access data you're not authorised to see, or circumvent our security or contact-disclosure controls;
  • scrape, copy or reuse profiles or data except as intended by the service;
  • send spam or inappropriate communications.

6. Safeguarding and reporting concerns

Safeguarding comes first. If you have a concern about the welfare or conduct of anyone on Lenny, use the in-product report feature or contact [email protected]. We may investigate, suspend accounts, and where appropriate share information with parents or guardians or the relevant authorities. In an emergency, contact the emergency services.

7. Your account

  • Keep your login details secure and don't share them.
  • You're responsible for activity under your account.
  • You can close your account at any time; we may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or on safeguarding grounds.

8. Intellectual property

The Lenny name, content and branding are owned by Lenny's Limited or its licensors. The platform software and the culture matching methodology are owned by our technology partner, Candid Hospitality, and licensed for use in the service. You may use the service for its intended purpose only; you get no other rights.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Lenny available but don't guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may change, suspend or withdraw features. We may update these terms; significant changes will be posted here with a new date.

10. Liability

[To be completed by a solicitor.] Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that, we are not liable for the conduct of businesses, young people or parents, for any employment arrangement, or for indirect or unforeseeable loss.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. [Confirm.]
